Amanda – our Managing Director – is based in Montrose, but the team operates as a fully remote team across the North East of Scotland, providing straightforward marketing solutions to clients across a variety of industries including but not limited to education, engineering, retail and construction. 

Your primary responsibilities will include editing videos, using your graphical design skills to create brochures, adverts and presentations alongside supporting the design team with the construction of websites. In addition to working as an outsourced partner for our clients, you will also support the growth of our coaching and consultancy services, empowering our clients to activate their own marketing efforts. 

While you will work remotely from home, there will be regular in-person meetings and client work sessions, so it’s essential that you are based in the North East of Scotland, preferably between Dundee and Aberdeen.

We produce work for our clients that helps them attract customers and move them along their buyer journey by creating content that answers their queries, helping to remove doubt and make them feel confident in their purchase decisions.

In this role you’ll collaborate regularly with the marketing and communications team, building on their strategy and copywriting foundations, bringing it to life through creative design and video production and editing.

Digital & Creative Account Executive/ Manager : The role

Manage and execute our client’s content strategy with enthusiasm and passion, helping Due North Creatives flourish into its next phase of growth by helping our clients to thrive.

Responsibilities:

Be part of our creative design team and contribute marketing and content outputs in areas including video, digital and print design, as well as helping with WordPress website builds and updates.

Take the lead on an assigned group of clients, contributing to client meetings, illustrating progress along with implementation plans for the future.

Become brand guardians for our clients, ensuring consistent design, tone of voice, key messaging and customer experience across all marketing channels

Support the communications team with elements of creative copywriting capabilities where needed, being able to visualise the customer experience at all times.

Encourage the growth of Due North Creatives, whether through our outsourced marketing support services, consultancy and coaching provision, by helping to design remarkable marketing content. 

Be open to learning new skills such as WordPress web design, digital campaign advertising whether for social media, native or display ads.

Is this role for you?

This is a full-time role working from home, although part-time hours will be considered. 

This opportunity is suitable for an experienced video creative and graphic designer, who has an interest in learning website design to become a well-rounded creative marketer. 

Working mainly remotely, you will love the opportunity to work in quiet surroundings, but thrive on the buzz of team and client interactions both in person and/or on Zoom. It takes motivation and commitment to work alone, but your drive to provide great results for yourself and our clients gives you the utmost job satisfaction. 

We provide a flexible working framework, where trust is given implicitly. Reporting to the Creative Lead you will work closely to develop your skills, and ensure brand consistency for our clients, getting together with the wider team twice a week on Zoom to look at the bigger picture and key deliverables. Additional team catch-ups in person happen frequently through client workshops, team development days and filming sessions.

Essential skills  

  • Experience of design software, in particular with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Video editing capability, ideally using Adobe Premiere Pro with some prior exposure to Adobe After Effects
  • Experience of using web content management systems – WordPress in particular
  • A proven track record delivering digital and print design work
  • Experience in creating dynamic social media campaign graphics 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including designing presentations in PowerPoint
  • Confident and creative writing skills. 

Desirable skills

  • Social media skills – to occasionally support the social media team it would be beneficial to have experience of managing organic and paid digital marketing campaigns
  • Some experience of web design principles, with some knowledge in HTML/CSS
  • Evidence of keeping up to date with marketing trends, techniques and tools
  • Use of project management tools such as Asana

Qualifications/Experience 

The equivalent of an HND or higher in Graphic Design, Video Creation or another relevant qualification lending itself to this role.

Comprehensive experience of strong design skills in a business environment

Other

Driving licence and access to a car in order to get yourself to client sites across Aberdeenshire & Angus.

Salary Expectations

 £25,000 – £30,000 dependent on experience and role awarded.
